Zoe
I Zoë. " !" When I called to get an update of how Zoë has been doing, I found that she had a tumor removed from her shoulder in February but it was nothing serious. She loves to chase her cat, Oliver. Her folks call her the "Hairy Cannonball" because when she runs into you, you know you have been hit HARD. . Nothing is more satisfying than matching the perfect dog with the perfect home.

Langdon I am not a pig. I am not a pug. My ears haven't been cropped, my tail hasn't been docked. I didn't run into a wall or get hit in the face with a fry pan. I do not bite - but my owner is another matter altogether. That noise is how I breathe - I am not growling at your child. I'm not so ugly I'm almost cute - and anyone who would say that is so stupid they're almost smart. I AM A RESCUE FRENCH BULLDOG and I am perfect in everyway.

Dexter Back in September last year two seemly unrelated events occurred in my life that ended up affecting me and a number of others in some very interesting ways. First I contacted the Boston University bookstore to find some T shirts and other items with their Fighting Terrier logo on it for my dear friend and handler Lana. I dealt with Marilynn and we hit it off immediately. I had to explain that while Lana had Bostons we also had Frenchies. At about this time I met Robert P. at the local dog park, he was there with his young Frenchie, Dexter Doodle Dandy. Robert clearly had his hands full, but he obviously loved Dexter and took very good care of him. In the last couple of months Robert started a new business and simply didn't feel he had enough time to give Dexter what he needed and deserved. He contacted me and arranged to surrender Dexter to the French Bulldog Club of America Rescue League. I had had Marilynn and her family's rescue application on file for several months. They were still interested and very excited about the possibility of Dexter coming to them. After my Vet neutered Dexter and repaired a small hernia, the date was chosen and the trip began. Lana agreed to help with the driving and we planned a side trip to Syracuse New York for some shows and to visit a friend once Dexter was delivered. Dexter arrived with us in Boston on March 24, 2005. He immediately became the hit of the family and quickly settled in with the rescued Beagle. He continues to do great and goes most everywhere with them, in the car, on the bus, and even on the subway. Once again we have experienced another happy ending. What better place for a Frenchie named Dexter Doodle Dandy than in Boston!

Bubba This is the story of the latest rescue to come through our place. There's not much to tell since we know almost nothing about this fellow and it all happened very fast. I received a call from Michelle Smith about a Frenchie surrendered around Quincy Illinois. Some of the Australian She pard Rescue people had retrieved him and offered to bring him to a show in Decatur Illinois a few days later. I arranged to meet them, and him. He had no name and had come from a puppy mill. He was about four years old and not needed for breeding anymore. He was a fawn, stocky, but not too big a boy. We started calling him Bubba. He needed everything, shots, check up, heartworm test, neutering. He was an excellent patient and a joy to have around the house. About three weeks after he arrived and recovered from all the Vet visits he was placed with Jenny and her family in Wisconsin. They adore him! He has settled into the family and become a wonderful companion and friend to the family and their other non-frenchie rescues. This is one of those dream cases. He came in relatively healthy, and got along with our whole menagerie. He was sweet and great to have around, unlike some of the challenges who have gone through here. He quickly found the perfect home-------- who could ask for more ?
